History
K6 type square, red kiosk of cast iron construction to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London. Design introduced by GPO in 1936, this example probably installed after Second World War. Embossed foundry plate: "W MacFarlane & Co Ltd, Saracen Foundry, Glasgow".
Exterior
Domed roof with 4 lunettes containing King George VI crowns red lettered opals (part replaced) and ventilation slits. Raised surrounds to door and sides with marginal glazing bars to horizontal panels. Blank rear, moulded plinth.
Reason for designation
Listed for group value with other listed buildings in Twyn Square and as contributing to Usk Conservation Area.
