Exterior
Has replacement, horned sashes without glazing bars. Has later, two storey, square, projecting bay on extreme left hand side and central ground floor window has dropped cill to form a glazed casement door. Original cast railings in Greek Revival style survive to frontage.

Reason for designation
Listed grade II as a locally rare example of a semi-detached pair of early/mid C19 houses, exhibiting Greek Revival influence.  

Group Description
182-183 Commercial Road. Mid C19 pair of semi-detached villas in Greek Revival style. Rendered elevations, low pitched, hipped, slated roofs. Substantial central stack, rebuilt in yellow stock bricks, smaller stack to left hand gable. Central bay of pair breaks forward with simple rendered pilasters on returns. Projecting single storey porch to outer bay is carried on Ionic columns.
