History
Earlier C19 origins (as shown on John Wood’s 1834 map) with later C19 alterations and enlargement.
Exterior
3-storeys, with scribed render elevations - 2-window to Gaol Street, 1-window to splayed corner and 2+1-window to Ala Uchaf. Slate roof and red brick chimney stacks; sash windows without glazing bars. Overall Victorian timber shop front with ramped and lettered fascia, panelled pilaster strips rising from corbelled cill band and panelled stallriser with circular motif. Plate glass shop windows. Semicircular rere-arch to recessed entrance on splayed corner with half glazed double doors and coloured glass fanlight. 4-panel door at extreme left end to No 3 Ala Uchaf.
