Road bridge bearing the B4520 across the Afon Braint on the S approach to the village of Penmynydd; c2km SSW of the church of St Gredifael.
History
Late C18 bridge, built in 1773 and widened on the N side.
Exterior
Stone bridge with elliptical arch flanked by small rectangular opening each side. Widened upstream north. Arch has roughly dressed voussoirs, slightly inset below extrados course of narrow slabs below rubble masonry. Rough parapet, with stone inscribed with date 1773.
Reason for designation
Listed as a good, well preserved, late C18 roadbridge.
