History
Built c1905, by H L North, of Llanfairfechan, outstanding Arts and Crafts architect of his age in Wales.
Group Description
Talfor and Gorsefield, West Shore, Llanfairfechan
Pair of 2-storey semi-detached houses. Walls in rough-cast render painted white; roofs in small violet-blue slates varied with groups of three grey-green slates. Tall shared central chimney stack, chimney to each end of ridge. Small-pane casement windows with square lead-lights, bell dripmoulds over windows. Front elevation has two forward-facing gables with double-pitched roof sweeping to ground floor at each end, broad window in each gable on first floor. Between gables, hipped dormer bedroom windows; similar windows in roof slopes at each end of pair. Roof sweeps down for form porch supported on braced wooden posts; beneath porch, door and broad casement window to each house. Broad casement window for each house in ground floor of gables.
At rear similar treatment, but no porch. (Talfor has additional single-storey wing at right-angles).
