Location
Pen-y-Bont Farm is immediately to SE of main road, approx 2 km SW of Penmachno village. Stable and Cartshed Block is to NW of farmhouse.
History
Part of C19 group of farm buildings built c1870 by Penrhyn Estate. (Datestone '1870' by granary window).
Exterior
Two-storey stable and cartshed block (with granary and stable loft on upper floor). Hipped slate roof, rubble walls with deep stone lintels. First floor (facing NE) has 4 square windows; ground floor has, to L, broad cartshed doorway and to R stable door flanked by windows. Stable (cobbled floor) has wooden stalls plus loose box. At rear of block stone stair up to lofts (kennel beneath).
Reason for designation
Listed as part of fine group of C19 estate-built farm buildings.
