History
Small 2-storey cottage presumably of C19 date built into a bastion of the medieval Town Wall.  

Exterior
Cottage, white-painted roughcast, two storey with monopitch roof in curve of bastion. Small 4-pane sash to first floor right (a ledged door in 1977) and a 4-pane sash to ground floor left and a doorway to right of centre. A single storey range attached to right comes forward with monopitch roof against garden wall to N and 2 4-pane sashes in E end wall. A continuation of the main building to the left is concealed by No 2 Alpha Cottage.  

Interior
The ground floor rooms said to have glazed arrow loops in town wall (1977 list).  

Reason for designation
Included as an unusual cottage built into a bastion of the medieval wall.
