Group Description
Nos 1 & 2 Wellington Place
Pair of 2-storey houses, each of two windows. Stone, slate roof with moulded stone stacks to ends. South-west (front) elevation faced with dressed stone laid in regular courses with larger blocks for architraves and quoins. Twelve-pane sash windows in openings with slightly cambered heads. Each inner bay on ground-floor with round-headed and pedimented doorcase with capped pilasters, plain semi-circular fanlight and six-panelled door. The ends and rear are rubble with dressed stone for quoins and architraves; to rear, each house with catslide dormer with modern casement glazing, and two first floor 12-pane sashes Ground floors with lean-to additions. Contemporary one-storey outbuilding to rear of No 1.
