History
Early to mid C19 exterior. The small-pane sash glazing has been reinstated since listing in 1976, when the building had casement glazing.
Exterior
Shops with accommodation over. Stuccoed front to Ship Street of three storeys, four bays. Slate roof; slim rectangular stack to R. On second floor. 9-pane horned sash windows. On first floor, 12-pane sash windows. On the ground floor, to R, a shop front, with recessed central doorwatwith double-leaf door (half-glazed) with overlights; canted display windows with colonettes; fascia board over. To L, a further shop window with modern door to R. Rear wings contain traces of an earlier construction but have been altered externally.
Reason for designation
Early to mid-C19 building retaining character with strong group value with adjacent listed buildings in Ship Street.
