History
Built in 1805 as an armoury.
Exterior
Two-storey red brick building with slate roof with projecting eaves; 3 red brick chimneys at eaves. Entrance front with pedimented gable; 3 bays. Nine-window side elevation facing Parade Ground has 12-pane hornless sash windows on first floor; on ground floor, blind flat-headed windows in end bays (R of these with later doorway), originally round-headed small-pane sash windows in other bays, but 2 blocked, and one a doorway.
Reason for designation
Part of fine C19 barracks complex. Group Value with other listed buildings on the site.
