Former hospital block in same style as the other 1840s buildings. Two storeys and basement; 9-window front with 12-pane sash windows. Entrance floor set above the Parade Ground and set behind a small garden with retaining walls of stone and iron railings with stone piers; double stone stair with iron railings in front of central entrance. First floor of ashlar; ground floor and basement rusticated. Central ashlar doorway with bracketed cornice; rectangular overlight.
Reason for designation
Part of a fine and rare C19 Barracks complex, retaining its character. Group Value with other listed buildings on the site.
