Telephone kiosk of K6 type designed for the GPO in 1936 by Giles Gilbert Scott. This example dates from after 1953 and was made by the Carron Company, Stirlingshire.
Exterior
Telephone kiosk, red painted cast-iron with Soaneian domed roof over four lunettes containing embossed Elizabeth II crowns over red lettered glass panels. Raised surrounds to two sides and door with marginal bars to horizontal glazing. Moulded plinth. Foundry plate on blank rear.
Reason for designation
Included for its special interest in a remarkable landscape location high in Brecon Beacons over Glyn Tarell.
