By law, the definition of a listed building includes the entire building (i) and any structure or object that is fixed to the said building and ancillary to it and (ii) any other structure or object that forms part of the land and has done so since before 1 July 1948, and was within the curtilage of the building, and ancillary to it, on the date on which said building was first included in the list, or on 1 January 1969, whichever was later.

NE. portion timber-framed and brick nogged (ground floor nogging C18, upper floor C19).
Modern brick stack, against gable-end. 2 s., 1 w.
SW portion early C18, brick, 2 s. 2 ws. which are in gables. Gables themselves are timber-framed, nogged with brick and plastered. SW side consists almost wholly of two immense early C18 brick stacks surmounted by clusters of fine tall sharply-moulded brick chimneys. Brick gable rises between stacks with one blocked w. in gable. (modern w. in top storey; below, no other ws.).
