The list description is not intended to be a complete inventory of what is listed: it is principally intended to aid identification. By law, the definition of a listed building includes the entire building (i) and any structure or object that is fixed to the said building and ancillary to it and (ii) any other structure or object that forms part of the land and has done so since before 1 July 1948, and was within the curtilage of the building, and ancillary to it, on the date on which said building was first included in the list, or on 1 January 1969, whichever was later.

Farmhouse with red brick walls now (1981) with modern textured rendering. Four window bay front elevation with plain pilasters framing outer bays; brick dentil eaves, the dentils with modern rendering. Roof of slates to front pitch and of modern plaintile to rear pitch; red brick stack to each gable. On ground floor, a mid C19 or earlier three-light canted bay window with sash lights with glazing bars, fascia and cornice each side of central early to mid C19 doorway with panelled pilasters and half-glazed C19 door, the glazed portion three panes wide and three deep. Former C19 iron trellised porch (see Provisional List of 1949) has been replaced by a C20 glazed porch. On first floor, a flat-arched sash window three panes wide and four deep in each outer bay and a cambered headed sash window three panes wide and deep in each inner bay.
C19 half-glazed door with small glazed panels in rear elevation. West elevation of rear wing with C19 three-light casement with transom on first floor; ground floor sash window with vertical glazing bars only; altered, probably early C20, porch to right hand in front of half-glazed four panel door. East elevation with a gabled stone extension with a window above and below in east half gable.
Interior
Inside, entrance hall with chamfered beam, C19 tiled floor and earlier C19 six panelled doors in reveals; earlier C19 staircase with straight balusters beneath glazed cupola; cases ceiling beam in left hand ground floor room and square ceiling beam to right hand ground floor room. Elsewhere, six panelled doors; old ledged door with cover strips on first floor.
