History
c1825. One of the first structures erected on the Penygloddfa site.
Exterior
3 storey, 2 window corner shop. Painted Flemish bond brick. Gently pitched old slate roof with hip to corner. Saw tooth eaves cornice. Brick stack. Two light casements under eaves to 2nd floor. Original small paned iron lights to right. Later deeper 6 pane wood frame to left. Later 2 light casements to 1st floor. 6 panes. Gauged brick voussoirs, shallow reveals, no sills. 6 pane fixed light to ground floor left. Tripartite shop window with simple hood. 12 panes per light. Broad doorcase with pediment hood on brackets. 6 panel door similar to side elevation. Roughly chamfered corner.
4 iron windows to Union Street. 2 small paned iron camed windows below eaves (small opening light to top left quarter) 1 at 1st floor level. 16 pane iron framed fixed light beside doorcase. Plastered ground floor wall. Modernised rear elevation.
