Mid C19, Late Georgian.

Martin Harris (Butcher), 44 & 45 Commercial Street and no 8 Chapel Street, Penygloddfa, Newtown
3 storey and cellar terrace. Flemish bond brick. Gently pitched slate roof with hip to Chapel Street. Saw toothed eaves cornice. Brick stacks. 8 pane hopper windows to 2nd floor. 16 pane sashes to 1st floor, and ground floor No 44. Plain reveals, stone sills, gauged brick voussoirs. Modern windows to No 45. Original doorcases to Nos 44, 45 and No 8 Chapel Street. 6 panel door to No 44. C19 Shopfront to Butcher's. 4 pane sash to right, plate glass to left. Recessed centre doorway, half glazed door. Brackets to cornice with name-board over. Round arched tunnel passage to extreme right.
Elevation to Chapel Street much altered with intrusion of modern windows.
