History
Early C19 lodge, built before 1818.  

Exterior
Single storey lodge, built to a T-shaped plan with gabled porch in S angle and lean-to addition in W. Roughcast rendered elevations with smooth rendered plinth course. Roof of large slates with 2 shallow courses at ridge. Decorative shaped barge boards with drop finials in apexes. Paired diagonally set shafts are set on a partially advanced rectangular stack midway along the NE wall. The porch entrance has Tudor arch openings. Casement windows have timber mullions; the SW wall has a canted bay with slate roof.

Interior not inspected at the time of the survey.  

Reason for designation
Included as a good early C19 lodge which, together with the adjacent walls, gates and railings, is an integral part of the Plas Gwyn Estate.
