The former tinplate works are on the E bank of the Afon Dulais just N of Main Road.
History
Chimney of some 60' (18m) height of the former tin-plate works at Aberdulais from 1830-c1890, probably dating from the later C19.
Exterior
Works chimney, yellow brick square tapering stack with stone cornice, the chimney standing on tapering base of tooled squared sandstone each face with a rectangular flue opening such that the chimney stands on the four corner piers only.
Reason for designation
Included as a prominent industrial chimney on an important preserved industrial site. The tinplate works are a Scheduled Ancient Monument (GM485).
