Situated at extreme E end of street, on junction with St Peter's Street.

Earlier C19 house and shop, marked on 1834 map, altered in mid to later C19 and ground floor set back in later C20. Photograph of 1910 shows ground floor with deeply recessed bays rather than present recessed walkway. Left bay was a door, 2 windows to right. Ground floor lined stucco, moulded impost bands, and moulded surrounds to openings. Occupied by J.O. Morgan, currier, 1926. Art gallery and crafts shop 2002.  

House now commercial property, stucco, unpainted to upper floors, with slate hipped roof with moulded eaves cornice. Three storeys and cellar, 2 bays. Upper floors have channelled corner piers with paired console brackets under eaves. Second floor sill band, first floor moulded cornice below sills. Plate glass sash windows in moulded surround, shorter on second floor. The ground floor altered in C20 by setting back the shop to inset pavement with 2 openings to street and one to E end. C20 shopfront set far back. Remnant of original ground floor includes channelled piers with moulded capitals to each side, the caps below heads of openings. Narrow left opening, former door, broad right opening, broad fascia and moulded cornice. Left end wall, above No 31, has 3-pane sash to second floor right. Right end has aligned windows roughly in middle: 4-paned horned sash to 2nd floor, and the lower 2 windows in a common vertical recess, with 12-pane hornless sash window on first floor, and modern fixed 4-pane window on ground floor. Opening to recessed pavement to left. C20 2 storey rear lean-to.  

Ground floor has 2 depressed arches with fluted pilasters dividing shop into three bays from front to back. Late C20 staircase from ground to first floor. Arched hall entrance on first floor and 6-panel doors with fielded panels to front and rear rooms. Earlier C19 stair from first to second floor with thin column newels, stick balusters and plain round ends to hand rails. Four tie-beam oak pegged roof trusses with centre posts and angled struts, said to have been reused from a slaughter house. Wooden steps down to cellar with rubble stone walls, some slate flagstones and remains of iron range. Oak beams.  

Included despite alteration to ground floor as a substantial building of earlier C19 origins, with typical late C19 external character prominently positioned at entry to King Street.
