Group Description
Nos. 1 & 2 Cardiff Road
Random rubble limestone walling, 'vertical crazy paving' type, dressed long-and-short quoins, rusticated window surrounds, Welsh slate roof. Semi-detached pair of estate cottages, each L-shaped, and joined at the forward projecting wing. Two stories. Modern lattice casement on each floor to the forward projection; gable with scalloped bargeboards, spike finial to No 1 only. Porch with lean-to roof on the return, returns otherwise blind. Rear wing has a casement on each floor as before, spike finial to both gables. Shared stack in centre and each house has a kitchen stack behind the rear wing. Rear elevation not seen at resurvey.
