Group Description
Nos. 1-3 Chestnut Cottages
Cottage row of random rubble limestone walling, 'vertical crazy paving' type to the main elevation, dressed long-and-short quoins, rusticated window surrounds, Welsh slate roof. Three estate cottages, each single depth with small rear wing. Two stories. Six windows to row, the centre house is double fronted under a gable, the outer houses have their doors to the left and right. Plank doors, iron diamond lattice windows, 3-light below and 2-light above, each of which now has one single pane in the opening part. Two red brick stacks between the houses. Rear elevation is partly altered.
