History
Small triangular railed garden to No 9 , Mile End House, separated from the house by the roadway. Mile End House was built for Edward Jones in 1803.  

Exterior
Small triangle of land enclosed by stone wall on rear and low retaining wall with iron railings on N and E end. Wall is of rounded river stone with either cement or concrete slab coping. Retaining low wall on NE side is of brick. Railings are damaged, of wrought iron of diamond-section with spearheads. Supports have urn, gateway without gate on NW side facing house.

Included as earlier C19 wrought ironwork, of group value with the Broad Street houses.
