A part of the farmyard group about 50m west of West Aberthaw Farmhouse.

History
Early/mid C19 hay barn with some alteration for storage of grain etc. It seems to be shown on the Tithe Map of 1839.
Exterior
The building is constructed of roughly coursed local lias limestone rubble with dressed quoins, Welsh slate roof. Small rectangular gabled barn converted to mixed use. The main elevation is on the north and has central cart doors with, to the left, a slit vent below a hayloft door and, to the right, a door and window below a hayloft door. The south elevation has opposed cart doors.
Interior
Timber tallet for hayloft. Roof of machined king post trusses and staggered purlins.
Reason for designation
Included for its special interest as a part of a very complete C19 Vale farmstead group.
