History
A C19 mile marker shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.
Exterior
A round-headed freestone mile marker re-set on a concrete base. It is painted white with black-painted letters. It is inscribed 'Rhayader 7½ miles' and 'Penybont 2.'
Reason for designation
Listed for its special historic interest as one of a series of well-preserved milestones on the A44.
