On the bottom level of lawn at St Donat's Castle about 50m north of The Cavalry Barracks.
History
Dating probably from the end of the C19, 1880-1900.
Exterior
Sandstone and limestone; the steps and base would appear to be limestone and the shaft and top sandstone. In the style of a C15 pillar piscina. Octagonal base with two moulded steps and a double moulded base stone. Octagonal shaft with moulded sunk panels. Top with eight panels of leafwork carving. Plain gnomon.
Reason for designation
Included for its special interest and group value as a part of St. Donat's Castle and its associated gardens.
