By law, the definition of a listed building includes the entire building (i) and any structure or object that is fixed to the said building and ancillary to it and (ii) any other structure or object that forms part of the land and has done so since before 1 July 1948, and was within the curtilage of the building, and ancillary to it, on the date on which said building was first included in the list, or on 1 January 1969, whichever was later.

History
Built in 1845 as the National School; closed 1953.
Exterior
Single storey coursed rubble former school building with hipped slate roof and wide boarded eaves; chimneys removed. Freestone dressings including quoins, voussoirs and plinth. Central gabled porch with 4 centred arch entrance with doubled boarded doors. 4-light transomed windows to either side. Smaller but similar porch to right in set back range. 2-window 1 1/2 storey school house set back to left and gabled dormers and modern casement windows; modern door to left. Central plaque reading "National School AD 1845".
Rubble rear twin gabled cross ranges to main building.
