Situated on E of lane running N off road on E side of the Nant Bran, about 400m N of church.
History
Early C19 farmhouse. Marked on the 1840 Tithe map as owned and occupied by John Powell, with 35 acres (14.2 hectares). Set on a terrace with rubble walls.
Exterior
Farmhouse, whitewashed rubble stone with slate roof and stone end stacks. Two storeys, three-window range with high upper floor and flat eaves. Sixteen-pane sashes with stone voussoirs to cambered heads. Stone sills. C20 centre door with C20 sloping slated hood. Lean-to on E end. Rear wing with N end stack, outshut to E, corrugated-iron addition on W.
Reason for designation
Included for its special architectural interest as a good example of the larger late Georgian farmhouses of the region.
