Early to mid C19 cottage pair, probably slightly later than the adjoining Nos. 7 and 9.
Interior
Interior not inspected at resurvey, but it is evident that the rooms will be very small.
Reason for designation
Included for its special interest as part of a rare terrace of small scale Georgian buildings in the Monmouth town centre.
Group Description
Nos. 11 and 13 Chippenhamgate Street
Roughcast render with plinth and Welsh slate roofs. Set forward of Nos. 7 and 9 to right. Single fronted double depth cottages with right hand door. Two storeys, one window each. No. 11 has a tripartite sash with 6 over 6 panes on each floor. Doorway with small broken pediment hood on brackets, C20 replacement door with two panels below and 3 x 3 panes above. No. 13 has plain C20 plate glass sashes. Low pitch roof with ridge stack to left of each house. Rear elevation not seen.
