History
A probably early C17 house, refronted and given the gable in the C18, modernised and with its features replaced in the C20 and now divided into two properties, Nos. 6 and 8.
Exterior
No. 6 is a single bay of what was originally a 3-unit house parallel with the street.

Included for its special architectural interest as a C17 house and as a part of the important group of historic buildings in the suburb of Overmonnow.
Group Description
Nos. 6 and 8 Drybridge Street
Rendered and painted, probably over some timber framing, interlocking concrete tile roof. Two storey and attic single depth house with an additional wing to No.6 and a lean-to outshut to No. 8. Three windows and two doors to the ground floor, W : D : W : D : W. Canted bay to the left, then a part glazed door with 3 x 3 panes; above is a small paned casement in a half dormer. To the right (No. 8) is a more balnaced front with central door, late C20 Victorian type door with two glazed panels and a voussoir head with a keystone, this is flanked by 3-light Victorian type casements with voussoir heads and keystones. The first floor has similar but 2-light casements flanking a blank panel which once carried the name of the public house. Addded gable above with two more 2-light casements. Steeply pitched wavy roof with a stack on either ridge. Right return is blind. Rear elevation has been modernised.
