Early to mid C19 terrace. Not shown on 1834 Plan of Brecknock. No.72 restored to original appearance since inspected in 1976.

Well-detailed and preserved early-to-mid C19 group of houses. Group Value with other listed buildings in The Watton.
Group Description
Nos.69-72 The Watton (consec), including Rear Wing to No.72
Row of four 3-storey houses. Two-window front to each house. Slate hipped roof with brick stacks to ridge. Stuccoed or rendered fronts. Bands at second and first floor levels; Ionic pilasters on first floor. Small square sash windows on second floor (modernised at No.72). On first floor each house with two French casements with C19 iron balconies. On ground floor, 20-pane sash windows in plain reveals.
Round-headed doorways; fanlights with petal tracery. Six-panelled doors.
