Group Description
Nos 9a & 10 Bridge Street are a pair of 3-storey houses. Four bays in all. Red and yellow brick with extensive pale limestone dressings. Slate roofs, brick chimneys. Tall end pilasters with Gothic floral detailing; similar pilaster to centre. Each building has gable in outer bay, and a full-height splayed bay window with sash glazing in camber-headed openings. Inner bays have sash windows in camber-headed openings, and on ground floor a 4-panelled door. Doorways enclosed in stone surround whose pillars have naturalistic floral or animal capitals.
