Plain late Georgian cottage dating probably from the 1840s.  

Exterior
Roughcast rendered and painted with a Welsh slate roof and red brick stack. Double depth plan with entry to right. Two storeys, two windows, all 3 over 6 pane sashes with stone cills. Plain doorway with 6-panel door under right hand window. Plain low pitch roof with stack to left gable. Rear elevation not inspected.

Interior not inspected at resurvey.  

Reason for designation
Included for its special interest as part of a group of well preserved historic buildings at the entrance to Abergavenny Castle.
