Location
Situated SSW of Plas y Wern, the second of three buildings on W side of drive.
History
Early to mid C19 lofted cart-house and stable to Plas y Wern, formerly known as Wern Newydd. Probably marked on 1840 Tithe Map.
Exterior
Whitewashed rubble stone with slate roof. Two-storey, long range with three square loft windows above, over two elliptical arched cart-entries and stable door. Upper windows are under eaves, with timber lintels. Cart-entries have stone voussoirs. Stable door is aligned with third loft window, stone voussoirs.
Outside stone steps each end to loft doors with timber lintels.
N door has iron strap hinges. Rear has two loft windows and door to stable to left.
Interior
Collar trusses to loft, with bolted collars. Stable has remnant of 3 stalls each side, and rear door.
Reason for designation
Group value with other outbuildings at Plas y Wern.
