Set back slightly from the road at the junction of Kelsterton Road and Kelsterton Lane.
History
Large house of c1800 built for Thomas Bate, owner of Kelsterton Brewery, which opened in 1818 and was the first public brewery in Flintshire.
Exterior
Circa 1800. A large 2 storeyed house of red brick with stone dressings. Of 3 bays, the sides advanced and the recess built-up to 2nd storey floor level with later stone pilastered colonnade, now filled in with modern glazing and roofed with glass; this includes a moulded stone entrance with armorial device in pediment. 6 sash windows overall, all with plain key-blocks. Quoins. Coping.
