Situated at furthest limit of track running up Carningli from College Square, Newport, some 300m SW of Castle Hill House.
Exterior
Mid C19 house in rubble stone with slate roof, stone end wall stacks and 2-storey, 3-window front of 12-pane hornless sashes with stone voussoirs and slate sills. Centre 5-panel door, top panel glazed. Low E end outbuilding in whitewashed rubble with corrugated iron roof and one small N front window. S side door. Outshut rear.
Reason for designation
Included as a good rural example of a C19 house built in the Georgian tradition.
