Location
Terrace row at S end of New St, the first houses from Cross Square.
Exterior
Later C19 row of four houses in rubble stone, formerly with grouted slate roofs replaced in imitation slate on all but No 12 since 1981, and three stone stacks. Two storeys, each house of two windows, 9-pane sashes above and one 12-pane below and door. Red brick cambered heads. Houses were built as two pairs, straight joint between Nos 8 and 10, each pair with close-set doors and windows above. Modern doors. No 12 has ground floor sash replaced by modern tripartite 4-12-4-pane sash under concrete lintel. Purple stone quoins to NW angle.
