Situated below and to SW of Priory Lodge in walled yard.
History
Though apparently of early Cl9 type the range is not marked on the l840 Steynton Parish Tithe Map.
Priory Lodge was probably built for Samuel Starbuck Sr, leading member of the Nantucket whalers cl800. It remained in the Starbuck family into the later Cl9.
Exterior
Mid Cl9 coach-house in rubble stone with red brick framing to entries and slate hipped roof. Single storey, originally a single hipped range facing SE with four well-spaced segmental arches entries and collar-truss roof.
At SW end is added at right-angles a similar single bay with matching entry. From NE end a rubble stone wall runs NE to enclose service yard, which has rubble stone retaining walls on SW and SE sides.
