Location
Situated on E side of road running N from Harmony to Strumble Head, some 1.5ákm N of Harmony.
History
Farmhouse was marked on opposite side of lane on 1798 map but on present site on 1845 Tithe Map, when it was owned by Thomas James.
Exterior
Earlier C19 farmhouse in colourwashed rubble stone with grouted slate roof and stone end stacks. Two-storey three-window front of original 12-pane sashes with cambered brick heads and slate sills. Centre original 6-panel door with overlight. Outshut rear. Lean-to on W end.
E end has lower 2-storey service range with big stone end stack, one first floor centre 12-pane sash with brick head and large ground-floor hipped porch to right and C20 window to left. Porch has grouted roof, N front window and W side doorway.
Interior
6-panel doors in hall, dog-leg stair with stick balusters.
Reason for designation
One of the least altered Pencaer farmhouses.
