History
A K6 type kiosk to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London. The design was introduced by the GPO in 1936, this example being manufactured by the Saracen Foundry, Glasgow.
Exterior
A square, red telephone kiosk of cast-iron construction, on a moulded plinth. Raised surrounds have marginal bars to horizontal glazing. The rear is blank. The domed roof has 4 lunettes contaning embossed crowns over ventilation slits, and with modern opals.
Reason for designation
Listed for group value with the former Tabernacle Chapel and Pontypridd Bridge.
