History
Said to date from the C16.
Exterior
Late C18 or early C19 inn, whitewashed rubble stone with slate roof and rebuilt stone end stacks, larger to left. Two-storey, off-centre three-window front, with 12-pane sash windows and centre door, stone voussoirs to cambered heads and slate sills. Flush-panelled 6-panel door under C20 timber hood. Rear is outshut.
Lower wings each end, that to left is integral and has low casement pair to first floor centre, C20 window and half-glazed door below. That to right is added, with ground floor C20 16-pane sash to right and casement pair to first floor centre.
Reason for designation
Important in village group around Cenarth Bridge.
