Set back on the N side of Glynne Way, opposite Moor Lane.
Exterior
Early C19 tripartite entrance gates, probably associated with the remodelling of the present Hawarden Castle by Thomas Cundy in 1809-10. Central gateway flanked by rusticated gate piers with moulded pediments. Similar piers flanking these, giving pedestrian access on both sides, these with moulded caps and ball finials. Adjoining these to form flanking arcs are dwarf walls with moulded capping with 3 further piers on each side. Of rough dressed stone and with plain, pyramidal capping. Decorative iron railings.
