Exterior
Brick structure in the form of a hollow globe probably of early C19 date. The entrance is arched and is flanked by two dry stone walls which have partially collapsed. The ice house appears to be substantially intact apart from this. .

Reason for designation
Included as a scarce intact example of an ice house and for historical associations with Rhual.
