History
Detached house (perhaps former shop) in village built by City of Birmingham for maintenance workers at Elan Valley reservoir scheme. Designed between 1906 and 1909 by Buckland, Haywood, & Farmer, architects, of Birmingham.
Exterior
Arts & Crafts style. Brown rubble with bathstone dressings, slate roof. Mullioned windows. Two storeys. Elevation facing road has 2 large gables each with 3-light first floor window; on ground floor, 2 bay windows with connecting roof over, recessed central entrance doorway. Left side has, to rear, gable with 3-light first floor window and ground floor splayed bay window, to R, 2-light window. Right side has, to rear, gable with 4-light first floor window, and 2-light ground floor window (L). In angle between gables, porch with hipped slate roof. To rear, attached wall encloses yard with outbuildings; gable to R end with upper loading door; single storey range to L links back to house.

High quality early C20 Arts & Crafts building, forming part of group of Garden Village buildings in Elan Village.
