History: Coed-y-dinas was a home-farm for the Powis Estate by the mid C19; the farm has early origins, though there are no buildings on the site which appear to be earlier than the later C18. It was subject to a major redevelopment as 'Lord Powis's Model Farm' in the 1870's, but this cartshed appears to form part of an earlier phase, and is probably c1850.
Description: Single storeyed, brick with hipped slate roof. Open front of 5 bays with cast-iron columns carried on padstones.
A good example of a mid C19 cartshed which forms part of a group of buildings at Coed-y-dinas Farm.
