History

Exterior
History: The Eastern Branch of the Montgomeryshire Canal was built between 1794 and 1797, engineered by John and Thomas Dadford. This bridge, with subsequent repair, probably forms part of this original phase of engineering. Description: A brick single arched span with plain voussoir arch, and parapet with stone copings (damaged). A typical example of a Montgomeryshire Canal bridge, which forms part of a group of structures at Crowther Hall Lock.
