History
A later C16 farmhouse, with C17 cross wing at W end.

Exterior
Timber framed, rendered to the front, and slate roof. One storey and attic, 5-bays with cross wing. Entrance to cross passage against wing, and rear lobby entry opposite main stack. Framing visible only at rear (N) side; close studding 3-panels high, with bay posts carved with staff mouldings developing rounded capitals with cut curved brackets supporting chamfered and cut-stopped jettied eaves. Wing clad in C20 brick to rear. Glazed porch over rear entrance, and various C20 windows. Large rendered multi-flue star-shaped stack.

Interior
Three-bay hall, with cut stopped chamfered ceiling beams, a later partition now separating off the main cross passage in the third bay against wing. Stack with chamfered deep fire beam and splayed reveals, now partly filled, concealing oven. Parlour, at E end beyond stack, now the kitchen, has a triple roll-moulded ceiling beam, with large ovolo and roll sides. Added lateral stack on front wall with strongly cambered fire lintel. Dog-leg stair in NE corner of wing has shaped splat balusters. Upper floor has jowled posts with mortices for corner braces. Two good C18 6-panelled doors. Double purlin roof. Some C17 panelling.

Reason for designation
Included as a high-status farmhouse retaining its early form and with good quality internal detail.
