Situated some 30m down lane from A 487 to Bethel Chapel, on W side, facing N.
History
Mid C19 house, formerly the Crown Inn.
Exterior
Colourwashed rubble stone with slate roof, and colourwashed stone end stacks. Two-storey, three-window range of 12-pane hornless sashes and centre door. Cambered heads and stone voussoirs. Door has been removed to give recessed access to two flats. E end has loft light and 12-pane sash to first and ground floors, to right.
Added rubble stone rear wing, two-window range, two-storey, hipped to N with stone stack. 12-pane sashes, door to ground floor left with overlight. Brick heads to ground floor door and window. Outshut rear.
Reason for designation
Included as a prominent and little altered traditional village house, framing view down to Bethel Chapel.
