History: Mid to later C19 roofed farmyard dung-pit.
Description: A sunken pit, stone lined with sloping entry from E. Big slate roof, hipped to W, carried on six red brick piers each side on low red-brick walls (partly lined in rubble stone). Open E end. Two-bay W end. Brickwork is largely renewed on N side. Five-bay roof with bolted collar trusses.
An unusual Victorian farmyard structure, listed for rarity and for group value with the rest of the exceptional group of farmyard buildings at Monachty.
