G VI R, K6-type. Square, red kiosk of cast iron construction to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London. Design introduced by the GPO in 1936; the foundry plate is not visible in this example.
Exterior
Domed roof with 4 lunettes containing embossed and unpierced George VI crowns over painted opals. Raised surrounds with marginal bars to horizontal glazing; moulded plinth. The rear is blank, and the cable entry is to the bottom right of the door.

Included for its prominent location at the centre of the village.
