History
Early C19 in the picturesque style of the group of cottages and houses built for the Trevalyn Estate under the stewardship of John Boydell. Interior converted for hotel use C20.
Exterior
Render, slate roof. Near symmetrical with some altered/blocked openings. Tall central carriage arch with cambered head, on each side of this upper floor has three bullseye windows, some blocked and containing mock arrow slits; ground floor left side has 3 windows with ogee heads beneath heavy moulded label, window to left offset. To right of carriage arch a window with ogee head and label as before, a blocked opening with label, to far right door with ogee head. Rear has external deck access stair.
Group value with Trevor Arms Hotel and Yew Tree Cottage.
Reason for designation
Listed as C19 stable block in the picturesque style of Trevalyn Estate buildings of Marford.
